"...IT'S HARD TO FIND A COMPETITOR WITH A BETTER COMBINATION OF RUGGEDNESS, CAPABILITY AND COMFORT."
-U.S New & World Report
Everyone needs to pull their weight. And then some. That's no problem for Silverado 1500. With the available MAX Trailering Pack, Extended Cab models can tow 10,700 lbs. (10,600 with Crew Cab models). The package gives you a strong, 9.5" rear axle that helps you carry or tow heavy loads and the Vortec 6.2L V8 engine with more horsepower and torque than any other half-ton crew cab pickup. It also includes a GM segment-exclusive automatic locking rear differential for more grip and less slip when you need it most. On every Silverado, Tow/Haul mode is standard and helps improve transmission performance when there's a big trailer behind you. You'll find all the gear to help you tow in the available Heavy-Duty Trailering Package, including a trailer hitch platform, 7-wire harness mated to 7-way sealed connector, an available trailer brake controller is fully integrated with the antilock brake system.

Durable Towing Equipment for the Chevrolet Silverado

If you need to get into perfect position to hook up a trailer, an available rearview camera system gives you eyes in the back of your truck. Extended Cab and Crew Cab LT and LTZ can be equipped with packages that include Ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist, which provides a warning when you're getting close to certain stationary objects, such as your trailer, while driving in Reverse at low speeds. And two camper mirror options with convex spotter glass are available to help you see what's happening behind you.
